West Creek 5 (12075), United States of America, Richmond, VirginiaPayments Governance Advisor Principal Associate (Hybrid) The Team: The Enterprise Payments Governance and Oversight team is seeking a dynamic Principal Associate Governance Advisor who will play a pivotal role defining and implementing the future of payments governance and oversight for the enterprise. The Enterprise Payments Governance and Oversight team sits within the Enterprise Payments organization in the Retail Bank. The team is tasked with executing governance and oversight of end-to-end payments strategy, operations, and risk management for all payment types across the enterprise. In this role, you will be at the forefront of payments, developing solutions to remediate some of the biggest payments-related challenges while also building upon existing business-as-usual practices. The Role: In this exciting role, you will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the company. You will partner with Senior Leaders and stakeholders across Operations, Risk Management, Product, and other key areas to support the execution of governance forums, delivering insights on the health of the end-to-end payment types, monitoring payments related issue and events, including escalation to Senior Leaders as appropriate, and helping drive critical initiatives directly tied to current and future priorities of the Enterprise Payments organization. You will work with smart, talented people who will challenge you to excel. General Responsibilities: Partner with stakeholders to develop monthly, quarterly and annual reporting on payment type operational performance, risk management, and key initiatives impacting paymentsMonitor payments-related issues, events, and risks to drive insights on the health of the payment type and identify opportunities for risk mitigationSupport lines of business in demonstrating adherence to payment risk standardsEngage in payments-related initiatives to support governance and oversight activities Ideal Candidate: Results-oriented with an ability to deliver against goals and objectivesAnalytical mindset to support risk analysis and problem solvingTeam-focused, with demonstrated strong relationship-building and collaboration skillsAn exceptional verbal and written communicatorAdaptable and flexible Location: West Creek 5 (Richmond, VA) or Center 2 (McLean, VA) , this role is Hybrid , where you will be expected spend about half of your working time in office and half working virtually Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Military experienceAt least 2 years of experience in risk management Preferred Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience working in paymentsAt least 3 years of experience in risk managementAt least 1 year of experience in operations managementExternal payments certification (e.g., APRP, AAP, NCP) At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
