Title:Sanitation Supervisor, 3rd Shift Req ID: 4820City, State:Westfield, WIReports to:Corporate Manager of SanitationClassification:ExemptRelocation: Nationwide relocation assistance is available#LI-OnsiteJOB DESCRIPTIONSummary: The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for the leadership of sanitation team members, procedures, programs and regulatory requirements, ensuring all plant equipment is clean and safe for production.Essential Functions: Empowers team members, through supervision, training and feedback opportunities, to meet and exceed expectations for productivity, quality assurance, waste management and food/personal safety. Ensures compliance of company policies and procedures, safety regulations, GMP s, SOP s, SSOP s, HACCP and SQF. Coordinates and guides team on a variety of situations including startups, shutdowns, preoperational inspections, product changeovers, change management concerns and sanitation. Leads the performance appraisal and progressive, corrective action steps to promote positive and safe teamwork environments. Required Qualifications: Demonstrated three years supervisory or leadership skills in a USDA regulated facility leading a sanitation/production team OR a bachelor s degree with a prior Food Science (or closely related) internship. Working knowledge of sanitation chemicals usage and applications. Working knowledge of USDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation processes/procedures and HACCP. Demonstrated mechanical and spatial aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment and the ability to formulate and understand complex mathematical equations. Strong interpersonal skills, to include professional oral and written communication, a team-focused approach and the ability to model composure/make decisions in stressful situations. Preferred Qualifications: A post-secondary degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Meat/Poultry Science, Engineering or Manufacturing Operations or related field. Prior experience with SAP or Infinity Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Competent in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook Knowledge of general First Aid and CPR Supervisory Responsibility: This position will supervise the sanitation team members at the Westfield facility.Work Environment: Wide variations in environment temperature (-10 freezer, 32-degree coolers, 40-degree plant, wet cold environment) noise, slippery floors and moving equipment.Appropriate PPE and other protection as necessary or required.Physical Demands: Position will include extensive standing at times, sitting, lifting, wearing factory required equipment while working in production, walking, visual, responding quickly to sounds and driving.Position Type: This is an exempt, third shift position.
