JOB SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist will primarily deliver outpatient rehabilitation services to the elderly population in their homes. This includes private residences or rooms within independent living facilities. Through Powerback Rehabilitation to You, the therapist evaluates and treats patients in their most functional environment, ensuring personalized care. Responsibilities include organizing and implementing occupational therapy programs, directing patient participation in tasks to improve performance, and fostering skill development for adaptation and productivity. This role offers a flexible schedule and diverse work environments. RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Provide supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support staff as needed, in compliance with licensure requirements and professional standards.2. Ensure adherence to treatment schedules, timely documentation, and attendance at clinical meetings.3. Participate in patient care conferences and related meetings.4. Make referrals to other disciplines or agencies to address patient needs comprehensively.5. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and community physicians to develop appropriate therapeutic plans.6. Customize treatment plans based on individual patient needs.7. Maintain a safe environment and address safety concerns.8. Manage inventory and order necessary supplies and equipment.9. Maintain equipment and report repair needs promptly.10. Prioritize patient service by ensuring high-quality care in a compassionate environment.11. Screen, assess, and evaluate patients, establish diagnoses, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients and caregivers. Implement treatment plans and document services provided.12. Provide therapeutic techniques in various areas such as cognitive skills, mobility, and activities of daily living.13. Design, fabricate, fit, and train patients in the use of adaptive devices.14. Instruct patients in functional activities and assess progress.15. Conduct reexaminations as needed to adjust treatment plans.16. Perform other duties as assigned. WORK SCHEDULE:- 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, no weekend rotation.- Coverage shared between two rehab sites, 19 miles apart, with a minimum of 2 days at one site and 3 days at the other.- Compensation starting at $38 per hour (negotiable), with possible sign-on bonuses, relocation assistance, or student loan repayment options.
