Your Responsibilities as a Construction Assistant Superintendent Our Construction Assistant Sup erintendents have ownership of all the following: management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcome of their assigned construction project. They coordinate all subcontractor work, subcontractor management, site safety, job cleanliness, subcontractor scheduling, and overall day-to-day operation of the job site. Obtain and maintain trust and respect of the subcontractors. Be able to effectively communicate with subcontractors, the superintendent, project teammates, vendors, etc. Become well-versed with the Look Ahead Schedule. Be able to effectively communicate needs to the subcontractors. Obtain and maintain safety credentials and experience and be able to recognize and correct safety issues on site. Perform and document project safety inspections multiple times per day. Fully understand and maintain project documents such as submittals, RFI's, and approved plans. Guarantee project details are being carried out properly. Create and follow through on project lists such as Incomplete Work Items, UCC Punch and Final Punch Lists. Be responsible for and be a leader for particular trades and finishes involved on the Project. Attention to detail - Don't let important details slip through the cracks. Persistent - Demonstrate tenacity and willingness to push through obstacles. Proactive - Act without being told what to do.
