Description Director Foster Care Location: Richmond or Norfolk, Virginia. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office) and candidates should reside within 50 miles of either location in Virginia. The Director Foster Care will be responsible for the fiscal and operational management/implementation and oversight of the state health plan Foster Care Program. How you will make an impact: * Develops and implements the strategic vision, goals, objectives, policies and decision making for the state health plan Foster Care Program * Collaborates with finance and clinical teams to identify utilization trends to propose mitigation strategies that reduce costs, while improving quality and access. Interacts with key care providers in developing innovative partnerships and solutions that best support members navigating end to end, a complex physical and behavioral health care delivery system, including proposing and leading policy and legislative initiatives that improve the contract and service offering. Liaison to Social Service, Juvenile Justice, Community, Civic and Faith based organizations who participate in the Child Welfare environment and collectively serve our members * Leads the Foster Care performance management/earnings improvement activities * Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. Minimum Requirements: * Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 10 years relevant experience, including prior management experience in a managed care setting with operations, budgeting and forecasting, process improvement, or planning experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences: * Extensive child welfare knowledge strongly preferred. * RN, LPC, LCP, LCSW, or LMFT license strongly preferred. * Comfortability presenting and communicating at all levels preferred.
