Patient registration, scheduling follow up appointments. General customer service to all patients to assist with any needs. Answering all phone calls as they come in in order to best help patients. Documenting Doctor's notes on the patient files in the EMR system. Calling insurance companies to obtain authorizations and going on payer websites to verify patients' insurance and coverage. -Necessary Skills and Strengths:Customer Service - EMR/EHR Systems - Patient Scheduling Experience -- Insurance Payer Knowledge -- Medical Terminology - Insurance Verifications and AuthorizationsCore Experience: Customer Service Medical Receptionist Experience (1+ years) Insurance Payer Knowledge Medical Office Experience About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
