Makes recommendations about human-machine interface in collaboration with NAVAIR's Human Systems Engineering Department.The Location: NAS Patuxent River, MarylandFor more information about AM Pierce & Associates, please visit our website at www.ampierce.com .The Description: Independently performs systems engineering duties in architecting, designing, integrating and testing aircraft and weapons systems; specifically the H-60 platforms in PMA-290. May conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of computer software and hardware to aircraft development, design, test and manufacture. Applies systems engineering principles to solve complex technical problems. Leveraging a team of disperse technical capabilities, leads efforts to identify root cause and corrective actions associated with complex technical capabilities. Identifies technical solutions to deliver required capabilities to the warfighter. Develops the technical approach beginning with the requirements definition, through develop and subsequent test ultimately providing proven capability to the fleet. Supports the development and execution of the technical approach that delivers required capability within the program's cost and schedule constraints. The successful candidate will have the education and experience below: At least five (5) years of experience in System Engineering supporting DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, DoD mission systems or DoD support systems, consisting of the design, development, integration and system testing of computer hardware, computer software, and navigation, sensor, and communication subsystems. BS or BA degree in Technical Discipline, required An Active DoD Secret clearance, required The Working Environment: The physical environment requires the employee to work on-site at the government program office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site.
