The support will include interfacing with end users using Microsoft products and the maintenance and update of an on-premises Microsoft Domain and network infrastructure. The environment must maintain compliance with NIST (SP) 800-171 and future CMMC requirements.The Location: The DC Metro area, preferable in the California, MD area: Best Places for Tech Jobs (#4) The Description: Provide customer service and technical support to end-users for hardware and software Diagnose, research, and resolve routine end-user issues in a timely manner through established protocol and troubleshooting; escalate as necessary Provide guidance and explain policies and procedures to end-users Communicate and translate technical information to non-technical end users; maintain communication and monitor incident through resolution Train customers on new devices and technologies Install software on new or existing devices, in accordance with standard procedures Assist in the set-up of new equipment and devices Assist users in obtaining access to systems Utilize and maintain knowledge bases, white papers, FAQs, and vendor documentation Contribute to documentation of incidents, internal processes and procedures, maintenance of equipment, and training manuals Assist with preventative maintenance within specified guidelines and procedures May review and evaluate new computer hardware and software products Assist in the tracking of hardware and software inventory May track and update IP numbers and data-jack numbers Maintain equipment inventory - tracking and procuring Interface with/manage Managed Service Provider (MSP) Review and reconcile MSP and software product and licensing billing monthly Manage software and licensing accounts (Microsoft, Adobe, Domain, etc.) Implement new software and hardware features (Mobile Device Management, install and configure firewalls, etc.) Manage Microsoft Domain Manage/configure firewalls, switches, servers, etc. Understanding of NIST 800-171 security controls Make recommendations regarding improvement of security controls related to NIST 800-171 and CMMC requirements Ability to develop a corporate IT roadmap Oversee and execute IT projects on corporate networks The successful candidate will have the minimum education and experience below: Associates Degree or 5-7 years of experience ----and---- 5-7 years of experience providing IT support to a commercial customer Clearance - Eligible for Secret Preferred qualifications: Experience with SonicWall firewalls Experience with network configuration and architecture Experience managing and configuring Domain Name Services The Working Environment: The candidate will have the ability to work remotely and to maintain the required network access to do so. The position requires the employee to periodically work in AM Pierce offices in California Maryland sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for much of the workday. The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site.
