Cobb is seeking a well-qualified and experienced VP of Managed Services with a strong mix of IT/technical knowledge, workflow management, project management and leadership skills. Responsibilities include leading a team that will work closely with business owners by providing technology recommendations and budget forecasts for existing and future technology requirements. Additionally, this position will lead a team of individuals to grow revenue in managed network services, telecom, and software workflow solutions. Internally, our VP of Managed Services will oversee network engineers, solutions analysts, and administrators to deliver wide-ranging projects and services. As this position interacts primarily with business owners and executives, being knowledgeable in both IT and business is essential for this position. This position is a dynamic and fast paced mixture of consulting, account relationship, leadership, and defender of our SLA both internally and externally. Major Goals: Responsible for the financial health and growth of the department. Profit and Loss responsibilities. Provide leadership and direction for the entire Managed Services team, from pre-sale analysts to post sale deployment. Develop and oversee department processes and procedures, internal cross department communications and engagements. Oversee the development and implementation a technology roadmap for our internal organization. Responsible for the overall recruitment, hiring and training of team individuals. Oversee the engagement of business owners and C-level buyers in conversations about their business strategies and recommend technology solutions to support those strategies. Make sure the department is staying abreast of emerging technology to meet client future needs and grow of service offerings. Responsibilities: Set direction, drive change, align people, motivate, and inspire, recognize, and reward resources who are helping deliver / fulfill our client commitments. Manage operational teams to support managed services infrastructure to achieve and exceed customers' expectations regarding application, networking, onboarding, and support needs. Develop annual business plan, manage, and own the P&L Effectively use a consultative approach, combining technical IT services expertise and executive-level presentation skills, to understand the business problems of our customers and prospects, and develop solutions to strengthen their business. Identify gaps across the service organization and present solutions to align with organizational goals and metrics. Grow business through development and delivery of managed services, drive add-on business within customer base. Establish and communicate KPI's across the Managed Services organization that drive continued improvement throughout. Establish service standards across the department and ensure product deployment is executed to meet all managed services commitments. Provide leadership through ongoing mentoring, training and development of direct reports and their respective teams. Partner with the leadership team and participate in the leadership and execution of key cross-departmental initiatives, processes, etc. Represent Cobb Technologies in the business community by attending association meetings, networking functions and customer engagements. Ideal candidates will also possess the following skills: Effective leadership skills and project management experience. Ability to provide direction to a team of analysts, network engineers and administrations. Previous experience leading a Managed Services Provider, with a very strong understanding of the MSP model, financial benchmarking, pricing, and best practices. Strong understanding of running a business/dept through a P&L. Patience and strong customer services skills. You will be working with a myriad of business, technologies, applications, and personalities. Exceptionally strong IT background with a focus on leadership, process management and financial benchmarking. Work effectively within a team, as well as independently. Strong understanding of business and IT functions. Be able to communicate effectively with business owners, IT staff and department managers. Strong Project Management and Communications skills Preferred Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS or equivalent. 5 years of relevant leadership experience. Understands the SMB business/technology space from a position of finance and leadership. . Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong presentation skills Effectively uses a consultative approach to understand and influence decisions. Relevant certifications (such as A+, Net+, CDIA, CCNA and MCSE, MCITP, MCSE or MCSA) a plus but not required. Excellent relationship building skills.
